Carpet Repairs & Carpet Patching

 

Although clients are most of the time happy just to have the area repaired, at ASCR we have different tools specifically for the purpose of options. Carpet patching for example is a challenge at the best of times but when the area is the size of a 50c piece in the middle of a room. The usual heat bond iron is to big leaving the option of

1. melting a piece quicky get i through flat then try stick the patch on 

2. make the patch 1ft square to fit the iron

3. supa glue the piece in.

All no good!

1. vacuum will suck the patch out eventually

2. still difficult with 1 if not 2 sides peaking

3. dries rock hard highly noticeable especially under foot

Sometimes keeping that spare piece of carpet is well worth it!!  

Keeping that spare piece of carpet when there is 1 and not using it as a mat  has never been more beneficial than if you have indoor pets. How quickly carpet can be destroyed by digging dogs or scratching cats is amazing. We understand your not impressed and luckily ASCR has had plenty of experience with carpet repairs especially patching and seam (join) repairs.

Unfortunately where theres 1 there's usually a few more that have gone unnoticed but also untreated.

There are many options depending on certain circumstances, such as the sub floor being timber or concrete, Rubber or foam underlay and carpet wool, nylon etc.

ASCR can help in every way with anti microbial treatment, replacing underlay and if need be advise, supply & install new carpet after floor treatment.

We are not home theatre experts, carpenters or builders but we can lift and relay the carpet properly.

 

This way it's not like you solved a problem by creating a new one. ASCR is happy to make room on the inside of the smoothedge for speaker wires to be taped and run to their destination.

All wiring actions to and from components are the responsibility of the client.

 

ASCR at all times will avoid cutting or splitting joins in clients carpet. If joins need to be cut to reach floor boards that need attention clients will need to be present to best evaluate any negative situations especially in and around doorways and hallway areas. Although high levels of care are taken cutting and rejoining existing carpet, certain areas is not always recommended.
